Outstanding Contribution

For most of my working life, I have been involved in the accounting sector and am currently a bookkeeper for a small firm south of the river. I have had varying roles throughout the years from customer service to data entry in the banking industry to running my own business selling Curtains and Blinds. Having an accounting background helped me run my own books and this role enabled me to keep my love of working with numbers alive.

When an opportunity came from angelhands to take up the role as Treasurer in 2005, I did not think twice about accepting as they need as many voluntary workers as they can get. I remained in that position for 4 years but as my day job became more time consuming, I reluctantly had to relinquish being Treasurer but remained a member and was very humbled to have bestowed on me a life time membership with angelhands.

In 2014 I was in a position to help out again so became Assistant Treasurer for about a year but once again, lack of time made me having to hand over the reins to someone else.

I have no doubt that down the track, I will be in a position to help angelhands again whenever I can as they are such a worthy organisation that need volunteers to be able to keep going and continue to help as many people as possible.
