Australian crime: Facts & figures 2013 released

The Minister for Justice, Michael Keenan MP, has released the Australian Institute of Criminology’s annual compendium of crime statistics, which reflects the general decrease in crime levels around Australia, but with some concerning trends in certain crime types.

Facts & figures provides government and justice agencies, the media and the Australian public with accurate, easy to access crime statistics in a single, centralised location. The interactive Facts & figures on-line tool has been updated to reflect the new data.

Australian crime: Facts & figures 2013 is the 16th edition in this crime trend series, and one of the many AIC publications on crime and criminal justice.

The publication is available on the AIC’s website at http://aic.gov.au/publications/current%20series/facts/1-20/2013.html(link is external)
